When something should be said:
This was going to be really short and witty, but as on all occasions when inspiration is lacking, we tend to fall into the ever open and insatiable trap of being more full of words than of wisdom or wit, so to justify to ourselves, though not to those who listen, or in this instance read, the pouring forth, as if from the mouth of Vulcan, a torrid stream, such as might be found in or among the hills and high places of the wilder parts of the less arboreal regions of the non-urbanised fields, moors and fens which lie in some of the further reaches of this land from its larger and largest metropolises, and instead of giving attention to and making an address to the matter which is at the forefront and in the ante-lobes of everyone’s mind, we speak only such words as are fit to be forgotten and not remembered.
So, Kat, the words of wit, being lost in empty rhetoricism, I hope you will not misunderstand as a misrepresentation of any lack of hope for you and your future which for the present and the time being has the appearance of a separation from us.
