Ach, du fremde Frau,
Was hab’ ich hier
Ist es wie der Tau
vom Chocolatier?
Poetry
Of a farewell
During the long hours of the day
In an amicable, amenable, amiable way
A personal assistant laboured to lay
No end of notes, memos, comments on a tray.
Now however the time has dawned to pay
E’en in the merry month of May
My kindest regards, respects, or, – hey
Are we saying she’s going and now not to stay?
Remember her words without any delay.
Clarifying her meaning, it’s never gray.
How then to speak of this bright ray:
An ember of brightness hidden in clay?
Not only that, but we are bound to say
To Dianne, for the best we hope – olé.
Im Krieg
Ob du in deinem Bett sterben willst
Ob du in deinem Bett sterben willst,
Bleibst weg; bleibst weg
Zum Hause und kommst du nicht herbei
Words of greeting
Now you shall see it
In a moment or two.
Can you believe it
Or is it not true?
Look, it is certain
A child has been born:
Nicola Duncumb’s
A mother at dawn.
Jaded walls
Jaded walls coming into view
Energetically rising over
An empty void with silver touch
Nuances of the days before we left
When urgent Notes burst into view
Exactingly entered calling over
By silent Word with easy touch
Before Abacical beads were bereft
Justly they wept for in long ago days
Who but Jean Webb knew the way through the maze?
Words of farewell
of
who
he,
he
Preparing himself to
Address the crew
Unusual querists
Like to call through,
Caring to help them
Like every good man
In a trice with a shift,
Now control, then oftèn,
Touches the heart as
One only can, who has
Now declared a day
To begin a new plan.

Words of rebuke
Nothing to do
| Well Moffatt, It is obvious You haven’t much to do If you have time to sit and write A ditty, straight out of the blue Now Sam, she had her reasons Argue as you might To give us all a ticking off (and with it, quite a fright!) | For it really is quite horrid When expecting packs galore To open up the cupboard doors And find we need some more So show some consideration Next time you need a pack Don’t take the last one on the shelf Or you’ll be sure to get a whack |
Inspired by a cause of rebuke
A cause of rebuke
How much Sam was hassled
When she dug in the cupboard
To fetch out a demo pack;
For when she got there
The cupboard was bare,
So tcs suffered the lack.
She took a clean sheet
To print some more out;
But on the repeat
The toner ran out.
The Potter made a curtsey,
The Brazier made a bow;
The Kenny said, “You’re joking!”
The Duncumb said, “Now now!”
A fitting response was received in a word of rebuke
