In Psalm 2<\/a>1<\/a><\/sup> we read: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have set my king on Zion.<\/strong><\/em> Three thoughts on the consequences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus is our God and king
He lived and died new life to bring
He shall return judgement to bring
When the trumpet loud shall ring<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus lives and is our king
He who died and rose now reigns
He\u2019ll come again judgement to bring
Upon us all as he ordains<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus lives! He is the king
Who gave himself for sin to die.
He shall return judgement to bring
Be ready now, the end is nigh!<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. Why\u00a0do the\u00a0nations\u00a0rage, and the people plot a\u00a0vain thing?
    The kings of the earth set themselves, and the\u00a0rulers take counsel together, against the\u00a0Lord\u00a0and against his\u00a0anointed, saying,<\/em>
    \u201cLet\u00a0us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us.\u201d
    He who sits in the heavens\u00a0shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. Then he shall speak to them in his wrath, and distress them in his deep displeasure:
    \u201cYet I have\u00a0set my King on my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the\u00a0decree:
    The\u00a0Lord\u00a0has said to me, \u2018You\u00a0are<\/em>\u00a0my son, today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will give\u00a0you<\/em> the nations\u00a0for<\/em>\u00a0your inheritance, and the ends of the earth\u00a0for<\/em>\u00a0your possession. <\/sup>You shall\u00a0break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them to pieces like a potter\u2019s vessel.\u2019 \u201d
    Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the\u00a0Lord\u00a0with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest\u00a0he be angry, and you perish\u00a0in<\/em>\u00a0the way, when\u00a0his wrath is kindled but a little.
