I noticed a rainbow and remembered what the Lord had said to Noah (you can read about more it here<\/a> or at Bible Gateway<\/a>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember my covenant which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rainbow is a sign of great comfort to us, for God says that when he sees it he will remember his covenant, and we may know that he will not destroy the world again by water, but it is also a sign of great terror, for as Peter reminds us in his second letter we forget that the earth of old was destroyed by the flood. The rainbow reminds us of this, and tells us that our Lord Jesus is coming again, and that though this world will not be destroyed by a flood, it will perish in fire. He will keep his promise to come back. In the meantime we must yield to him, who, like the ark that Noah built was the only thing that could save from the flood, he is the only one who can save us from this fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So think about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2078Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying: \u2079And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you, \u00b9\u2070and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every beast of the earth. \u00b9\u00b9Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b9\u00b2And God said: This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: \u00b9\u00b3I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. \u00b9\u2074It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; \u00b9\u2075and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. \u00b9\u2076The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth. \u00b9\u2077And God said to Noah, This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
